Optical Stimulated-Luminescence (OSL / TL)
Optical Stimulated Luminescence/Thermal Luminescence (OSL/TL) is a method used to date archaeological or geological samples. This instrument can estimate the age ranging from 10 years to 200,000 years ago but only limited to the samples which contain some quartz or feldspar minerals. Various fields find use of this technique including archaeology, geochronology, geochemistry, and sedimentology.
