Archeobotany Laboratory
This laboratory is equipped with instruments for sample collection, pollen glass slide preparation, observation microscope, and particle size analysis. With a percussion drilling set (portable rig), the laboratory staff is able to sample undisturbed or semi-disturbed samples up to 10 meters (depending on the soil type). This laboratory also provides the facility to prepare pollen slides and observe pollen under the microscope that comes with the analytical software. All observed images will be captured using a high-resolution microscope camera.
This laboratory also has a particle size analyzer that enables users to analyze particle size either in dry dispersion and/or wet dispersion ranges from 0.01 to 3000um (sample and sample preparation dependent).
