Earth Material Characterization Laboratory (EMCL) also known as Makmal Pencirian Bahan Bumi was established in 2012 to assist and enrich scientific study in archaeology and expanded later to offer laboratory analysis to the public such as USM’s staffs and students, government, corporate, private agencies or organization. Start with three main instruments; Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), the laboratory have been equipped with new instruments and laboratory which will provide more services.
